DMM英会話、今回のお題はUAE(United Arab Emiratesアラブ首長国連邦🇦🇪）の高層ビルに新設された、世界で最も高いInfinity poolの話。

Infinity poolとは、
a swimming pool where water flows over one or more of the sides so it looks like the pool goes all the way to the horizon.
つまり、プールの縁が水平線と繋がって見えるプールとのこと。
世界で一番高いところにあるプールは、
The 118th floor of the International Commerce Center in Hong Kong
で、
at almost 469 meters high
なのだが、
残念ながら、
it's a swimming pool inside a building.
だそうだ。
Before reading the article, I didn't know infinity pools at all.
Then I did a research with “infinity pool”.
I learned that there are some infinity pools in Japan as well.
日本には高いところにあるInfinity poolはないが、“借景”の伝統がある。
その借景の妙を生かしたInfinity pool🏊♂️があり、
そしてなんてったって、Infinity spa😌♨️🍶があるのだ。
