Until now animals have been treated as "objects" under Spanish law.
If the bill is passed, judges will treat pets in a similar way to children in divorce cases or after an owner's death, for example.
Over 60% of marriages in Spain now end in divorce, giving the country one of the highest divorce rates in the world.
I was interested in the fact that there are many countries that are superior to Spain.
Germany is the most advanced country in terms of animal protection law.
German dog protection regulations say,
“You must take them outdoors (to acquire exercise and sociality) and dog parks (mainly to acquire sociability) at least twice a day for a total of 3 hours or more.”
German dog protection regulations say,
”Don't leave your dog alone for a long time.”
I violate this regulation.
I often leave my dog alone for a long time.
