本日のレッスン教材は、ボルチモアの橋梁と貨物船の衝突事故。
橋梁は無惨に崩壊し、衝突時に橋の修理作業をしていた労働省６人が行方不明。

The reason why the ship lost steering was to be a loss of power（電源喪失） to it.
This accident could have been avoided if the rudder had been able to be moved manually even after the power was lost.
I thought it was dangerous to rely too much on electricity.
電源喪失しても舵を手動で動かせたなら、この事故は避けられた。
電気に頼り過ぎるのも考えものだね。
