本日のお題は、アメリカを襲ったハリケーンで少なくとも84名の方が亡くなったというお話。

気がついたら、死者の数が、今回の記事のハリケーンでのそれと全く同じだった。
偶然の一致である。
こういうとき英語では、
What a coincidence!
と言うらしい。
「降りかかってくる出来事」がincidentで、それがco（いっしょ）に起こるから、「偶然の一致」のことをcoincidenceっていうらしい。
inという接頭辞には「中に」を表すほかに「上から/上に」を表すんだって。
私は、勝負を決めるときに行うtoss upでのcoinの一致から来てのかと思ってた😅
