本日の（2/17(木)）お題はチンパンジーが他のチンパンジーの傷口に昆虫をたすり付けるというトンデモself-medicationのお話。

私は、このチンパンジーの母親が怪我をした子供の傷跡に虫を擦り付ける行為は、一種のおまじないなのではないかと思った。

日本の母親がよく使う。
「痛いの 痛いの 飛んで行け～!」
に似たようなものかと感じている。
Japanese mother often cast magic spell on her child who fell and cry “pain., pain, go fly away!”

後、チンパンジー以外の動物のself-medicationについてだが、調べた所、中国のサイトに面白いことが書いてあった。
中国のサイトだけど、英文なので、なんとか読める。
